Obama’s Health Care Plan – Now is the time

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead

The health care system in this country has been broken for a long time. President Obama is doing something about it.

We must help him make a difference.

Health care is the most important issue facing America today. The reason? Almost everyone knows someone who is uninsured. Almost everyone knows someone who has had to declare bankruptcy due to rising health care costs. Almost everyone knows at least someone who cannot afford his/her meds.

And almost everyone knows someone who’s uninformed and scared of what he doesn’t understand.

As this issue affects more and more people, more and more people want to see a solution.

Not next session. Not next year.

Now.

Senators Nelson and Martinez need to know that we stand with the President on Health Care. Click here to find an event tomorrow near you.

It’s go time. For the health and well-being of us all.

    Jim—

    “It’s a shame the President doesn’t really know what he’s talking about…”

The above statement is a reflection of the link you provided. The statement and the link are exercises in nuance rather than demonstrations of major discrepancies in what Obama said.

Your statement is hyperbolic and the referenced link provides manufactured differences between what Obama and others said or what allegedly happened.

For example, the Obama says, “It will keep government out of health care decisions, giving you the option to keep your insurance if you’re happy with it.”

The link goes on to say, “In House legislation, a commission appointed by the government would determine what is and isn’t covered by insurance plans…”

The implication is that the government will get involved in health care decisions. However, it actually says a commission would determine insurance coverage. It says nothing about the government dictating health care decisions. All insurance plans must decide what is and is not covered when they are written. That does not mean the insurance coverage tells the medical professionals how to care for patients. In short, the Web site is misleading readers by twisting reality to prove a point of view.

The shame is that you, Jim, don’t really know what he is talking about…
