Protesting Channel 8 – Despite Misgivings and Heat that Could Kill a Cow

I tried to talk them out of it, but the local gay rights community will be protesting Channel 8 on Wednesday.

WFLA says this hateful infomercial didn’t “raise any red flags.” Let’s raise red flags they can’t miss this time.

Help us fight these lies-

My pitch? We produce our own documentary infomercial. Using humor and intelligence, we could craft quite the response to Silencing Christians.

Of course, it’d be in good taste – although I’m not above a cameo where I flash my ta-tas or explain why tolerant girls are hotter.

Besides, a program put together by Equality Florida and St. Pete Pride would be a better response than standing around in the heat, waving signs and shouting slogans.

Although. Shouting slogans *is* a great way to get laid. And red is so my color.

At any rate, my ideas were shot down and since they are my peeps, I’m going to publicize the event because, goddamn it, their hearts are in the right place. (And they did suggest Channel 8 air the program “For the Bible Tells Me So” as a response. But let’s face it. This program won’t be nearly as entertaining as my proposed “Suck It Haters.”)

I just wish they didn’t plan it for Wednesday because now I can’t score free drinks in Wayne’s office.

Oh well.
