Today is the Day for Gainesville

Posted by Catherine on Mar 24, 2009 in Florida Politics, Gay Rights |

Voters will decide today whether to remove sexual orientation and gender identity from the Human Rights Ordinance.

If you know someone who lives, works, or goes to school in Gainesville, please take a moment to forward this post. We are all connected and if something like this can happen in a progressive community like Gainesville, then we are all at risk.

This is what Equality looks like – enjoy.

Update: Voters rejected the amendment by a vote of 58% to 42%.
