Baby Cried the Day the Circus Came to Town

Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus will be in Tampa for the next few days.
Who attends this sh*t? I can’t believe companies like Ringling are still in business. In an age when the economy is struggling and people are getting laid off, who has the money to dump on a company that tortures animals?
Hey, you! Put the cotton candy down and try choosing family-friendly entertainment that does not include abused elephants and tigers. It’s not that difficult. Isn’t there a monster truck show calling your name? Brad Paisley coming to town?
Most local news outlets who cover this Big Top happening, do so without mentioning lawsuits and protests that result from documented circus abuse. Abuse that’s been going on for years.
Animals were not put here on Earth for our entertainment and we shouldn’t reward those who seek to profit off the blood of any living creature. For Christ’s sake, The Holy Land Experience is a better gig than the circus.
Barely.
But at least there’s a half-naked hippie hanging around there looking for a few souls to save. Ain’t nothing going on at Ringling except rotting teeth and brain cells. You can do better than that.

You know I love my bacon but I’m with you on this one. Forcing wild animals to do this for human enjoyment is not right. What excuse can you give? It’s entertaining? Too Roman Empire ending for me.
And I hate clowns.
