In Vino Veritas

Thought Lethal Weapon was overrated and Braveheart historically inaccurate. Don't get me started on Passion of the Christ. Never did like the man. All my friends thought I was crazy. "He's so hot!" they'd say. He's not so hot now, is he?

Decent actor, hunky guy, acts like your average Billy Bob Joe on a Saturday night drunk and the world goes nuts over it.

What he says, does, and supports when he's sober indicates a lot more about the man. Ever listen to yourself when you're drunk and enraged? Ya probably sound pretty stupid to. (Damn Baptist Al Gore. I invented the Internet you moron. I ought to shoot you in the ass.)

For all anyone knows, the tirade may be his way of acting out his repressed hostility at his dad and his dad's terrible anti-semitism.

Of course, Mel could be a total jerk. The next time I sup with him, I'll pay better attention.

And, oh yeah, the police report should reflect EXACTLY what happened like any other report.

Oh, no. No. No. No. Dude hates us. His dad, the Passion movie, radical Catholicism, now this. Plus he has yellow teeth and a bad attitude. Smells, too.

Kate, you're not trying to say that you've NEVER said anything that would be considered racist are you? I was in the Navy, but I dare say that you could make me blush with the things that would come out of your mouth in a drunken stupor.

Mel Gibson - still a great actor and the Passion - still a great movie.

Oy my butt.

I think, like the dentist on Seinfeld, you converted just so you could tell the jokes.

Mr. H - Nice. Defend the anti-Semite because he professes deep Christ love. The ever-popular Ecclesiastical white-out.

A man who gets drunk and spouts off about silly things (big fan!) is not my concern. A man who belongs to a fringe-Catholic group that holds anti-Semitic views, has a father who denies the Holocaust happened, and produced a movie that included anti-Semitic words and then gets drunk and spouts off about Jews IS AN ASSHOLE. Period. I give a rat's ass what you say.

And I'll oy your butt. Come here.

I know you really care.

What kind of religion writes a man off because of perceived mistakes? Where's the love? What were Jesus' words on the cross? Forgive them for they know not what they do? I think that's right.

Does your faith not believe in repentance or forgiveness?

Do you need a hug?

Much love!

That's lovely. "What kind of religion..." The man hates my people and I have the nerve - the NERVE! - to suggest he's an asshole. I don't recall him asking for my forgiveness - (they know not what they do? a crock) but if he did - I'd say sure. However, I still wouldn't want to have dinner with him.

And I'd never turn down a hug from you. Know that.

Even if we forgive him being an a**hole, that still doesn't preclude his being an a**hole. Because he is. An a**hole.

I know a lot of people that are a lot of drunk a lot of the time, and I dare say I've not once heard any of them spout of anti-Semitic comments whilst wasted. A lot of strong feelings about many mothers, but nothing that vile.

I guess the issue is that he's now going to be blacklisted from Hollywood. I doubt he'll miss it, considering all those Jews running it. It's not as if Hollywood had anything to do with all his fame and fortune. God gave him that, for Lethal Weapon and Mad Max.

I mean for Pete's sake, even Vilmar at the Howler denounced Gibson.

I knew you would forgive if asked, I can see the sweet person inside the hard-nosed exterior. I don't know enough about Gibson to say if he hates Jews, he may.

Dinner? If you're ever in NC, it's my treat AND I'll give you the hug. Mrs. H would probably love to hear your thoughts on me anyway.
